_______ ____________
Seasonal♜ After every season, they must present the gods with a sacrifice. The date, and creature is unknown until the spirits themselves tell the Council what they want. They bring it live to the Deadlands and must kill it in the water for the gods. A snake should be scarified before the winter, for the god of winter is a harsh mistress and the snake is to represent the harsh nature of the world we live in. A rabbit scarified in the spring to show the birth of new life and meaning that the spring god is kind and allows the forest to thrive with. The sacrifice will mean that the god is pleased and will provide more food for the predators. Mice always gather in the golden fields in the summer, to sacrifice one would thank the god for the grasses to hide in, the trees to take shelter in and mostly the sun for keeping the world living. Calf for the fall, to show that sometimes life is fragile; like the falling leaves of the trees. The god of the fall though isn't as harsh as winter, knows how to cause death with heavy winds and hammering rain.
Thank you♜ After any ceremony or festival they will often choose any fresh kill to the Deadlands for the gods.
/thank you ryu for the help on season one ;w; /
